Los Angeles’ War Tapes have shared a supercharged video for “Pale Blue Dot”. The tongue-in-cheek video, directed by Jon Danovic, draws inspiration from 1970s cop TV shows, car chases, and B-movies. The propulsive rhythm and kiss-off vocals of the song soundtrack a reckless green-screen escape from the police.
In celebration of the video’s release, War Tapes will play a free show on Tuesday, August 1st at The Satellite in Los Angeles. Doors 8 PM, Show 9 PM
War Tapes, comprised of siblings Neil and Becca Popkin, Matt Bennett and Billy Mohler, received national acclaim for their full length The Continental Divide. “Pale Blue Dot” is their first release since 2010’s Fever Changing EP and the lead single from their forthcoming EP.
