SF | Actor, Musician & Emmy-Nominated Composer, Darren Criss, to Make His Feinstein’s at the Nikko Debut

SAN FRANCISCO (October 18, 2016) – Actor, musician and Emmy-nominated composer, Darren Criss, will make his Feinstein’s at the Nikko debut for one performance only – Wednesday, November 30 at 7 p.m. Currently reprising his acclaimed role as ‘Hedwig’ in the San Francisco and Los Angeles engagements of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Criss will perform songs from his upcoming album, as well as favorites from throughout his career. San Francisco-native Darren Criss stars in the upcoming Indie comedy, “Smitten,” directed by Academy Award winner Barry Morrow and most recently appeared on the Emmy Award-winning FX series, “American Horror Story.” He starred on Broadway in the title role of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and as J. Pierrepont Finch in the 2014 Tony Award winning Best Musical Revival, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. He is best known for his breakout role as Blaine Anderson on Fox’s Emmy and Golden Globe Award‐winning series, “Glee.” The San Francisco-native is a co-founder of StarKid Productions, a Chicago-based theatre company whose works have spurred viral hits, multiple Billboard charting cast albums, and sold-out national tours. He is the founder of the New York City’s first showtunes music festival, Elsie Fest. His additional film, TV and stage credits include “Girl Most Likely” opposite Kristen Wiig and Annette Bening, “The Wind Rises,” “Web Therapy,” ABC’s “Backstage with Disney on Broadway,” “Michael Feinstein’s New Year’s Eve” special on PBS as well as hosting duties for the NewNowNext Awards and Teen Choice Awards. He received his BFA in Acting from the University of Michigan.

Located within Hotel Nikko (222 Mason Street, San Francisco), Feinstein’s at the Nikko presents a wide range of entertainers from stage and screen all within an intimate 140-seat cabaret setting. There is a $20 food and beverage minimum per person inside the showroom which guests can use towards cocktails as well as a variety of small plates crafted exclusively for Feinstein’s at the Nikko, through Restaurant Anzu. Cheese and dessert platters will also be available in the showroom.

Guests of Feinstein’s at the Nikko can enjoy a variety of food and beverage options before performances. Kanpai Lounge, located in Hotel Nikko’s lobby, offers light cuisine, a full bar and specialty cocktails. Restaurant Anzu, Hotel Nikko’s intimate restaurant located on the second floor, serves sustainable California cuisine enhanced with Asian flavors. Restaurant Anzu will also offer Feinstein’s at the Nikko guests a special three-course prix-fixe dinner ($45 per person) prior to all performances.
