San Francisco Rallies for International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, & Biophobia #IDAHOT | Pics & Videos

Yesterday, May 17th, was #IDAHOT  International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, & Biphobia, and people hit to the streets to rally and protest. Key speakers came out to inspire and encourage others to speak out and be enraged about current state of affairs. The ever passionate, Tom Ammiano, politician and LGBT rights activist from San Francisco, a member of the California Legislative LGBT Caucus, served as a member of the California State Assembly from 2008 to November 30, 2014, speaks with intensity and fervor, “Fuck everybody!…. we will NOT let you kill us… we are not all of are rich, not all of us are white…”

Chelsea Manning walked freely out of the military prison at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., on Wednesday, bringing to a close one of the most extraordinary criminal cases in American history over the leaking of government secrets to the public. Ammiano referred to her release in speech, “You go girl!….” Calls Jeff Sessions “a moralistic simpleton.” I couldn’t be more proud to stand behind a vocal member of my community like the one and only Tom Ammiano.

Other speakers: Donna Sachet, Patrick Carney (Pink Triangle Project), Jeff Paterson (Courage to Resist), Subhi Nahas (Spectra Project – Syria), Melanie Nathan (African Human Rights Coalition), and more!
