Get To Know: Jose A. Guzman Colon

Based in San Francisco, Jose A. Guzman-Colon burst onto the photography scene with “Pushing the Illusion,” his debut exhibition held in 2012. A photographer with a stylist’s eye, Colon creates spectacular images of drag queens and club kids, artifice-heavy portraits with an expressionistic style that both aggrandizes and contextualizes his larger-than-life subjects.
