New solo LP from Hunx, Hairdresser Blues, out 2/28!
We are pleased to announce the first solo record from the one and only Hunx. Hairdresser Blues was written and performed entirely by Hunx (see Seth Bogart), with the exception of drums, played by Daniel Pitout of Nu Sensae. Recorded in NY by Ivan Julian (Richard Hell & the Voidoids), Hairdresser Blues is full of quick glam and garage pop gems—inpsired, in part, from wee-hours dream-state demo recordings—that touch on everything from nasty break-ups to the Bay City Rollers to the death of Bogart’s friend and contemporary Jay Reatard. Listen to a preview track, “Always Forever,” over at Pitchfork, and grab a preorder of the record here. All preorders will ship with a limited edition Hunx comb! (www.hardlyart.com)
