Cazwell Releases Video for “Sprung” Off of Upcoming Album “Hard 2 B Fresh”‏

Cazwell Creates An Eclectic Fusion of Moombathon (Electro/Reggaeton/House) with  Rap and Colorful Lyrics

NYC Gay Rapper Cazwell announces his highly anticipated album Hard 2 B Fresh to be released in October 2014 (exact date tbc) via Peace Bisquit. The impressive/illustrious list of collaborators include Richie Beretta (Major Lazer, Jillionaire), Justin de Nobrega (Die Antwoord), Nicky da B (Diplo), Peaches, Manila Luzon, DJ Fresh Direct, etc.  who make for a ridiculously fun mix of electrified dance music and old school hip hop.

Today, Cazwell reveals his newest video for the fresh track “Sprung” that is featured on the much-anticipated album Hard 2 B Fresh. This experimental art installation/ video was directed by JB Ghuman Jr. (writer and director of critically acclaimed indie ‘Spork’) and preserves the classic elements of Cazwell, but is also an abstract, lyrically provocative homage to ’80′s hip hop groups like Kid N Play.

Earlier in the year, the beat impresario Richie Beretta (Diplo, Major Lazer) produced Cazwell’s track “Helen Keller” – a term the rapper made up for when a person ex-communicates someone from his or her life. Other revealed album tracks are “No Selfie Control” – the irreverent disco take on our current cultural obsession and “Guess What?” – the gnarly, horn-ridden electro collaboration with British pop star Luciana that became a top 15 Billboard Club/Play hit in the USA and UK.

The Massachusetts-born Cazwell has proven himself a hard worker: from becoming a Youtube sensation after a million people viewed his “Ice Cream Truck” music video in a single week, to producing a steady flow of tracks and videos that has his engaging charisma and personality immersed in it. He has since earned credibility with danceable hip hop tracks −including “Rice & Beans” and “I Seen Beyoncé At Burger King” and “No Selfie Control” − that impressively showcase his hypomanic take on pop culture. We’re proud to present you a musical force who has been described as “what would have happened if Eminem had grown up on Madonna’s front lawn.”
