C O /\/\ /\/\ /\ /\/ D O (CHRISTEENE, Big Dipper, & Krylon Superstar) Live Debut in SF Jan 11th

I’m not sure how one stage will be able to hold all of these powerhouses performers all together without being demolished. This show is not to be missed!

C O /\/\ /\/\ /\ /\/ D O is a radical queer collaborative music collective centered in San Francisco and comprised of some of the most extreme and renowned queer artists in the United States.

C O /\/\ /\/\ /\ /\/ D O creates violently queer nü-metal. The ensemble fuses rap and hard rock like it’s 1999 in the service of crafting a sincere space to celebrate and aggressively revel in queerness.

“For us, the six members of this incarnation of C O /\/\ /\/\ /\ /\/ D O, making queer-centric nü-metal in 2016 represents a rejection of pop culture and an important, radical act. Appropriating this noxious and comically unhip subgenre—which achieved cultural dominance in the late 90s as a tool for homophobia and misogyny, and exists as a cultural punch line today—and recontextualizing it as a sincere space to revel in queerness is the most beautiful thing we can think to do right now.”

C O /\/\ /\/\ /\ /\/ D O will present its live debut on January 11, 2017 at 8:00 PM at the Rickshaw Stop. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. GET TICKETS HERE

C O /\/\ /\/\ /\ /\/ D O will be joined by opening acts Carletta Sue Kay and Ugly, two of the Bay Area’s finest queer rock n’ roll pioneers.
