The most popular Bear event, bar, you name it, since the beginning of Bear Time, Bearracuda has made itss way into the hearts of 32 cities! This year Bearracuda San Francisco is having its 150th party in March and had this very special mosaic made for the event. The mosaic was commissioned by artist Jason Mecier, and he out did himself with this extraordinary collection of bears, bear dicks, lube and almost every item from a-z that you could think. Matt M. aka Matt Bearracuda must be doing something right. Matt also co-owns super popular San Francisco bar Truck that was voted best Gay Bar in the SF Bay Guardian 2012! The detail is sick, in the best way possible, in this newest piece by the masterful artist Jason Mecier. If you weren’t familiar with Jason’s work in the past, you most definitely know of him after the last few weeks when his trash-art picture on Honey Boo Boo went beyond viral. (Pic at bottom of page)
Jason has spent over 10 years creating outrageous 3-D mosaic portraits of his favorite pop culture icons. Each portrait is created from objects such as make-up, candy, pills, food and discarded junk donated from the celebrities themselves!
