Backstage | Oliver Spencer Autumn/Winter 2012: Tattoo-Beard- Homeless-Chic-Envy

Returning to our Backstage series. Oliver Spencer Autumn/Winter 2012 turned to a young Lucien Freud and 70’s art-house to form its backbone. So, that meant plenty of colour and a few more daring pieces all of which maintained their essential Oliver Spencer-ness. No outrageous flourishes here, this was one of the most wearable collections of the day.

As we’ve come to expect, knitwear formed a large part of this line up – heavy roll-necks and chunky cardigans, comfortable and winter friendly. Looks went from casual layers to smarter suiting, however fabrics remained top quality in both. Lots of wool, plenty of red, sturdy oxfords and some well thought out casting. Nice job Oliver Spencer.
